How to make the diagnosis?
The CMC has high quality endoscopy equipment.
Endoscopes are small cameras that are inserted through the mouth into the stomach or through the anus into the colon.
Endoscopes are used to see lesions, take samples (biopsies) to study the tissues under the microscope, treat bleeding lesions or resect polyps in the colon.
This examination is not painful because the endoscopes are very thin and flexible and the examinations only last a few minutes.
